Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled negotiator, strategic and results-oriented Sourcing Procurement Manager to manage the sourcing and procurement of tinplate materials for our operations. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator, ensuring the highest quality of materials at competitive prices. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the capability to build and maintain supplier and stakeholder relationships. Experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP) and e-bidding/RFQ tools (Jaggaer) is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Organize and manage bidding activities via procurement platforms, including the preparation of Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluation of offers, and collection of cost information in the market
Develop and maintain cost benchmarks to ensure competitive pricing and identify opportunities for cost savings
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for tinplate procurement to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials
Source and qualify potential suppliers, evaluation of their capabilities
Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, pricing & terms, overseeing claims, steering R&D projects
Continuously evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, lead time, and reliability
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (R&D, production, supply-chain, quality, technical) to ensure procurement aligns with business needs and specifications
Oversee the preparation and execution of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Ensure on-time-in-full supply of direct commodities within cost targets
Lead cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function
Maintain accurate procurement records, analyzing procurement performance and reporting key metrics to senior management
Develop Market Intelligence, provide insights on supplier capabilities, competition, and trends

Key Requirements
Able to work autonomously, a self-starter who is proactive and results-oriented
Strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to drive decision-making. Able to speak with data and problem solve
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable to clearly convey ideas to both internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to successfully operate cross-functionally with various departments (e.g., production, logistics, finance)
Strong cross-cultural awareness, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and suppliers from different regions
Flexible, adaptable, and open to change and new challenges
Proven track record of negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Fluent in English; , a proficiency in another European language highly beneficial, fluency in Spanish a strong advantage
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
3+ years of experience in international procurement or sourcing management
