About this opportunity

Your work environment :
We are looking for a Reliability Engineer within our Newcastle Engineering Department.

Your mission in Sonoco

• establish and implement best practices for the Engineering Dept working cross functionally to ensure the reliability of any/all plant equipment.

• analyse and solve reliability problems by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions

• provide technical support and training to other staff as required

• liaise with key stakeholders to identify and maintain critical assets

• Ensure the measurement of results to drive improvement measures

• Ensure that the Engineering Stores Dept is maintained at correct levels to ensure PM's can be carried out and the effect of breakdowns minimised.

About you
You will have a detailed working knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes, with a minimum of 3 years experience or working in and leading within a busy Engineering or Maintenance Department. Ideally holding graduate level qualifications, you will be commercially aware, self starting with a demonstrable, methodical approach to problem solving. You are fluent in English with up-to-date knowledge of systems and data interfaces, spreadsheets and databases.

The company offers a competitive range of employee benefits in addition to annual salary of circa £48,000 for this role.
