About This Opportunity
As a Logistics & Transport Technician based in Murcia, your mission will be to plan and coordinate all transportation logistics activities to ensure the correct and timely distribution of the company’s supply, materials, and products. You will be instrumental in optimizing available resources to guarantee efficient and precise deliveries.
What You’ll Be Doing
- This role requires a proactive and adaptable individual capable of navigating complex logistical scenarios. Your key challenges will include:
- Coordinating transport operations with flexibility and efficiency, often under tight time constraints dictated by both internal and customer demands.
- Managing a high volume and variety of daily loading orders with various transportation companies, fostering harmonious relationships with transport agents, and ensuring optimal pricing and customer service quality.
- interpreting and accurately registering national and export loading orders within the company’s management system, conducting anomaly reviews, and meticulously monitoring orders and deliveries.
- Supporting and coordinating with the organization to source and allocate trucks, providing expert advice on logistics and transportation (including new contacts, transport agent information, truck types, loading systems, etc.), to reduce logistics costs and guarantee optimal customer service.
- Ensuring the correct and timely delivery of products to customers across national and international territories (Europe).
- Coordinating the internal transportation of raw materials, machinery, and products to Iberia plants, and managing supply coordination between subcontracted companies and suppliers as needed.
- Maintaining active communication with the Sales and Supply Chain Departments to ensure appropriate provision of internal and external services, thereby minimizing potential negative impacts.
- Monitoring the status of external warehouses, maintaining real-time awareness of their capacity to organize merchandise entry and exit following the FIFO system.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all applicable transportation legislation and norms relevant to our company and its customers, supervising necessary documentation for goods transport, and staying updated on any modifications.
- Monitoring, controlling, and resolving logistics incidents, and acting as a primary interlocutor between insurance companies, transport agents, and the organization.
- Production Planning Collaboration: Interface with production planners and the Supply Chain team to manage lid shipments to plants, prioritizing deliveries to meet customer commitments and maintain production efficiency.
- STO Documentation & Coordination: Generate daily STO (Stock Transfer Order) documentation for inter-company lid shipments in Spain, providing essential product and quantity details for the shipping department to manage transport.
We’d Love To Hear From You If
- Proven experience in transport and logistics management, preferably in an industrial or multi-plant environment.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP (logistics or transport modules).
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive and autonomous in managing responsibilities.
